The LG Urbane Smartwatch was announced in February and is poised for an Indian Launch
It comes with some power-packed features and as far as I see it, will be a competition to other Smartwatches.
Here are the basic specs of the LG Urbane Smartwatch:
- Wi-Fi only and no LTE (at the moment)
- Price: Around INR 35000 (although recent rumours speculate a price of INR 29000)
- 3 Inch 320×320 Pixels Plastic OLED Display (Circular) with 245 ppu
- Powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor
- 512 MB RAM
- Internal Storage of 4 GB
- 410 mAH Battery
Available Colours: Silver and Rose Gold
There are some interesting features in the LG Urbane Smartwatch
It has a Photoplethysmogram Sensor! Sounds complex right. But you do not need to get into hard core tech. The sensor will be used to track your heartbeat to send info to various health apps.
There is also an accelerometer couples with a compass. There is also a Barometer to give you an idea of the atmospheric pressure and relative humidity!
The LG Urbane Smartwatch is IP67 certified which also means that it is dust-proof and water resistant. It comes with a stainless steel body and a leather strap. With the recent Android wear update the watch seems to have powerful features.
I guess, the look and feel from the watch seems very enticing and it will be interesting to see how it fairs with the existing competition from Apple and Samsung.
